Avastor - 40GB Triple Pocket Hard Drive - PDX800-40GBSS
These triple interface pocket hard disk drives from Avastor are comparable to the other PDX 800 series (USB 3.0, FW800, FW400), but they are built with Intel Solid State Drives. Solid State Drives have no moving parts, which result in quick access to data, lower susceptibility to physical shock, and silent operation.
The PDX800 Series now features a new Oxford 943 chipset, allowing for a USB 3.0 interface, faster FireWire 800 speeds, and a cooler operating temperature. Thanks to the lower temperature, PDX800 drives now come with Avastor Armor, a silicone bumper to protect them from accidental drops.
Carrying Case Included
Avastor's carrying case for the PDX portable hard drive is shock resistant and includes an area to carry along cables.
Bus Powered - No Power Cable Needed
PDX 800 hard drives will run on power provided by the USB port or FireWire port on the computer. Just plug PDX into your workstation and it instantly turns on.
