The SATA ports allow for speeds of up to 6Gbps, and are backwards compatible with legacy SATA devices. CalDigit engineers developed the first USB 3.0 driver for Macintosh, so now both Mac and PC users can benefit from USB 3.0 speed. The FASTA-6GU3 was designed to provide CalDigit's AV Drive, VR and VR Mini Drives with the fastest connectivity possible.
