Fujifilm 34 Minute D-9/Digital S Video Cassette: D421-DS-34

High-performance in a half inch format.  D9 Metal Particle Tapes are engineered for high-density recording with high output, low error rate, and high levels of reliability.  Sometimes known as Digital-S, SMPTE gave it the designation D-9 in the spring of 1999. D-9 is an excellent choice for industry professionals looking for an acquisition medium with superior image quality that rivals even the highest priced digital systems.

D-9 features

• Dust-proof cassette shell - D-9's exclusive high-precision cassette shell features a static electricity free lid and a robust mechanism for stable tape recording and playback, as well as high durability.
• Multi-generation performance - A SMPTE/EBU task force concluded that the first generation compression of D-9 was rated identical to Digital Betacam.  In addition, the lossless quality was judged suitable for mainstream broadcast applications.
• 4-channel PCM audio - D-9 offers four channels of uncompressed digital audio
• 16:9 /4:3 aspect ratio - D-9 provides outstanding picture quality, which is more than ready to meet the demands of the 16:9 aspect ratio.
• Data Rate: 50 Mbps - Compression Ratio: 3.3:1 - Color Sampling: 4:2:2

Note: This cassette cannot be used with regular S-VHS units. The duration of this tape is 34 minutes.
