G-DRIVE mobile features a USB 2.0 port and dual FireWire 800 ports. The dual FireWire ports allow for daisy-chaining other devices like other drives or camcorders to your G-DRIVE mobile. Both the USB and FireWire ports are bus-powered, eliminating the need for an external AC adapter.
G-DRIVE mobile comes formatted as HFS+ for OS X machines making it Time Machine ready right out of the box. A simple reformatting will make this external hard drive Windows compatible. (Instructions for reformatting are located on the "Downloads" tab for this product.)
