LaCie Rugged Hard Disks are portable for those on the go! With three interfaces, a scratch-protected aluminum shell and shock-resistant rubber bumpers, the Rugged HDD will handle your data with care in a world filled with unpredictable circumstances, spills, and bumps.
The Rugged Hard Drive, designed by Neil Poulton, is one of LaCie's most popular PocketDrives. The sleek design and shock-resistant rubber sleeve make the Rugged hard drive ideal for backups on the go. It's plug and play, so just plug it into any computer for backup, video storage, and large data exchanges.
The 500GB Rugged drive offers a maximum transfer rate of 800 Mbits/s with FireWire 800. Utilize one of the three interfaces for universal connectivity. The triple interface feature makes exchanging data between PCs and Macs simple. The drive also comes with a USB power-sharing cable for low powered USB hubs/computers.
