Panasonic 276 Minute Advanced Master Quality DV Large Videotape- AY-HDV276AMQ
The Advanced Master Quality DV large tape from Panasonic has been created for HDV/DV shooting! With an additional layer on the surface of the basefilm the AMQ is a more durable and reliable tape.
Panasonic employs their S-AME (Super Advanced Metal Evaporation) technology to provide a higher output. The 276AMQ features a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) film to strengthen the tape and protect it during challenging usage. A proprietary surface treatment ensures uniform coverage of the lubricant on the base film to create a stable tape. Even during repeated fast-forwarding, rewinding, playback, and professional editing the tape is protected.
Panasonic uses a "hybrid" dry-type lubricant to minimize head clogs, increase friction ratio, and lengthen the head life. To create the hybrid lubricant Panasonic has taken a few different lubricants with different characteristics and combined them. By combining and getting the best of all the lubricants it improves the durability, transport, head life and reliability.
Along with the enhanced lubricant and the S-AME technology, Panasonic AMQ tapes feature a high-precision cassette shell made of ABS resin. The ABS resin prevents warpage and provide impact resistance. A sliding lock mechanism on the cassette prevents accidental erasure and the anti-static cassette lid resists dust and debris. In order to protect the high-precision cassette Panasonic introduces a special rugged hard locking case. The side locks to prevent the case from accidentally opening. Special grooves in the tape case allow for safe stacking and carrying and all surfaces have a non-slip ribbed pattern. Just a few more thoughtful enhancements from Panasonic.
