<invoice-description>Panasonic 32GB E-Series P2 Card. Part number AJ-P2E032XG.</invoice-description>
 <markup-description>
Panasonic "E" Series 32GB P2 Card- AJ-P2E032XG

Panasonic has introduced a new P2 card, called the "E" series, that offers a more economical introduction into the P2 file based workflow. With a faster transfer rate of 1.2Gbps, the 32GB "E" card offers superior quality and an average of five to ten years of normal operation.

The AJ-P2E032XG was designed to be reliable and durable. Built with an aluminum diecast casing, P2 cards have a more superior design to keep the card functioning longer than cards made of plastic. When recorded once daily, at full capacity, the 32GB card will be reusable for up to five years. When used once daily at half capacity, the card can be reused for ten years or longer. The LCD/viewfinder on the camera, or P2 recorder's display, will give a notification as the card approaches the end of its life cycle. Use the P2 formatter software to track the details of the card's remaining usable life cycle.

The difference between the "A" series card and the "E" series card is the flash memory technology used. The "E" series uses Multi Level Cell (MLC) NAND Flash memory in which each cell holds two bits of data. While it holds more data and reduces the unit price per byte, it offers fewer overwrites than the SLC NAND flash memory technology used with the "A" cards.

Compatibility

The new "E" cards still have the PCMCIA form factor to ensure compatibility. They are compatible with all existing P2 cameras, recorders, and workflow tools, as well as the newer P2 products. The AJ-PCD35 will require a firmware and driver upgrade that can be found on Panasonic's website.

Reliability

The 32GB "E" card, made of aluminum die cast casing, will prove highly reliable in extreme environments. Resistant to temperature changes and environmental elements such as dirt and debris, the card will continue to operate even in adverse conditions.

Features

Reliability and instant access

Compatibility in all P2 camcorders, P2 recorders, and workflow tools

Storage for all P2 frame rates and formats: HD, SD, DVPRO HD/50/25 and AVC-Intra 100/50

NLE and server compatibility - AJ-PCD35 will require a firmware and driver upgrade found here

Fast 1.2Gbps transfer rate for better transfer/offload capabilities- 30,000 insertion/ejection durability

Use with the FireStore Portable Recorder for increased storage capacity- Backup and transport your footage on Maxell's iVDR-Xtreme portable hard drive
