Color, high-speed, thermal transfer disk printing for CD and DVD .

The Rimage AutoPrismPlus! disc printer eliminates productivity sapping bottlenecks at the printing stage of the typical CD/DVD duplication production line. Using advanced robotics (the word "Auto" in the name), and a high-speed PrismPlus printer, the Auto Prism Plus flies through any printing job at up to 200 discs per hour.  

The robotics of the Auto PrismPlus! are driven by a closed loop servo motor system and a reinforced, toothed belt. The steel constructed picker rides on roller bearings that speed along disc pick-up at a brisk 2 second per movement even for disks that aren't perpendicular to the robotics (± 5°).

The AutoPrismPlus is designed for durable performance and low-cost operation.  It's made to run all out, all the time, 24 hours a day. Full coverage discs are printed in less than 10 seconds at an incredibly low four cents per disc at full coverage. 

When used with the included Perfect Print software, you can make each disc a unique version with your customer's name, for example, or any other data. It even prints on pre-printed, silk-screened disks.

Rimage AutoPrism Plus! Key Features

• Prints 70 to 200 discs per hour depending on print quality and ink coverage.
• Materials print cost per disc is a low $0.04 (black and white) to $0.25 (color) per disc.
• Printed imagery is waterproof and highly resistant to scratching. Under normal use, the printing will last as long as the disc.
• Includes CD Designer label creation software for Windows.  Imports graphics and text, and allows serialization, bar code, and data merging capabilities. 
• Works with other industry-standard graphics programs including Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe Photoshop®, Macromedia FreeHand®, QuarkExpress®, and CorelDRAW®.
• Perfect Print permits accurate placement of printing on pre-printed discs. An optical sensor in the Rimage transporter detects a small index mark that is silk-screened in the index ring along with your silk-screened design. The transporter then rotates the disc to the correct orientation so your customized printing will always be aligned with your original silk-screened artwork.
• Ribbon Saver - Reduces ribbon waste by using only the amount needed for printing, lowering printing cost and maximizing throughput. For best results use genuine Rimage prism ribbons
• Printhead Integrity Check - Automatically tests the printhead printing elements ensuring high quality images.
• Ribbon Validation - Monitors ribbon usage and indicates when ribbon capacity is running low.
• Cleaning Mode - Allows you to quickly clean the entire printhead surface using the Prism cleaning pad .
• 300 Disc capacity - Three 100 bin carousels, plus one 100 bin output carousel.
• Warranty: One year limited depot. Additional maintenance agreements available.
