Sony's PHU-220R allows over 12 hours of continuous video record time for XDCAM EX camcorders. With XDCAM EX camcorders capable of true 1920x1080 recording, the PHU-220R extends record time up to 950 minutes in SP mode (25Mbps) or 730 minutes in HQ mode (35Mbps).

Simple Design
Record time displays or multiple inputs are not required with the PHU-220R. The unit plugs into your camera's media slot and is recognized as a memory card.

Backup SxS Cards

One of the benefits of XDCAM camcorders is the ability to copy content from one SxS slot to another. With the PHU-220R, you can back up more than seven 32GB SxS cards (recorded in HQ mode) directly from the camera.

These key design elements help PHU-220R resist and recover from shock and vibration.

• Internal Shock Absorbers The drive is suspended inside the chassis by four specially designed dampers
• CyberCapture Technology This special software maintains a consistent and sustained data transfer speed as vibration is encountered by the device.
• 3G Shock Detection The PHU-220R can sense sudden movement such as that of a fall, and will "park" the read/write head away from the disk surface and protect the disk from damage.
• Shock Resistant Memory 9 seconds of buffered video allows the unit to recover from severe shock and vibration.
