Pros Light, sturdy, small in size, very convenient and portable. Plenty of memory for alblums or remote recordings. Being separate discs makes it very easy to catagorize in a library or to pick some of the the music you want to carry on your walk or biking trip.
Cons These MD's really have no cons. The performance has always been top notch, no failures and endure erasures and re-recording well.
Other Notes Though the price is not the lowest available, it is certainly not the highest price I have seen. My experience with TapeONLINE has always been top notch. Might be nice if they would offer quantity discounts. I like to keep some handy because you never know when you may need to go out and record a class, concert or some nature sounds.
How this product is used With the current availability of the MD recorders and discs, I have changed the way I use them. I will make MASTERS on CD, then use the MD to make an album or recording to take with me. If time comes to erase the MD, I can use the CD MASTERS to re-record what I want to hear at that time. MDs have always been highly portable and the recorders offer everything you could need in a portable recording / editing studio. You can do everything on the spot including titling. The size of the MD is perfect for storing as well as carrying with you. All in all, they are the perfect replacement for the old Phillips Cassette.
