High transfer speeds in a small ExpressCard is what Sony's SxS Pro memory cards are about. The SxS Pro cards are based on the SxS memory card specifications and offer high speed data transfer rates. ExpressCard is the new replacement standard for PC cards supported by the PCMCIA, the same industry-wide consortium that standardized PC cards.

Sony SxS PRO Memory card was developed to increase workflow efficiency, fulfilling the demand for professional camcorders or non-linear editing systems with higher performance and reliability.

High Speed Data Transfer

The SBP-16 can dramatically improve workflow. With a transfer rate of 800 Mbps, the 16GB SxS Pro card reduces transfer times for large files. SxS cards are ideal for use in harsher conditions due to their compact size and high transfer rates. Connect it to the computer directly through a high speed PCI Express bus to achieve fast transfer speeds.

Compact Size

Half the size of a standard PC card, the SxS Pro measures 34mm in width, 5mm in height, and 75 mm in length. Smaller cards allow the camera to be compact without having to compromise storage capacity. The compact size of the equipment and media allow for use in harsher conditions and in mobile videography. A 16GB card in a Sony XDCAM EX can record approximately one hour of video.
