Video Tape Degaussing and Evaluating
Step 1: Cosmetic Cleaning. All ink and labels are removed from the tape. Step 2: One-Pass Degaussing. All data is removed from the tape via magnetic process. Step 3: Evaluation. All dirt, debris, smoke, or anything that could cause a dropout is removed from the tape. Another degaussing pass occurs simultaneously. Step 4: Optical Scanner/Report. An optical scanner checks the tape one last time for any remaining potential for dropouts. If the tape cannot be cleaned (due to overuse or physical flaws like foldovers), you will receive a full report indicating the issues.
