Durabis 2 protects the disc surface against scratches and resists smudges from fingerprints, yielding effor-free performance. Blu-ray specifications require a hard coating technology, however TDK goes above and beyond that with Durabis 2, the most advanced hard coating formulation for Blu-ray discs.
TDK Durabis Hard Coating Technology features
- Resists Scratches: Durabis hard coating technology gives TDK Blu-ray discs great scratch resistance. The Durabis coating protects the disc from scratching due to mishandling and wiping away grime.
- Resists Grime: Durabis coating provides superior protection against fingerprints and smudges that are just a normal part of day-to-day usage. Reducing grime allows the laser to interact correctly with the disc to insure proper read of the disc/data.
- Resists Dust: Durabis hard coating enables TDK Blu-ray discs to release static charges much faster than other media. This release of the static charge prevents dust from accumulating on the disc's recording surface, enhancing reliability.
