TDK now offers LTO 5 tape, incorporating cutting-edge magnetic material and technology that TDK has spent years gaining manufacturing experience and perfecting, through development of numerous magnetic recording media products. This new LTO 5 format features stable read and write signal achieved by using high-output, ultrafine metal particles designed specifically for LTO Ultrium.
This tape has a native capacity of 1.5TB, and a compressed capacity of 3TB, almost doubling the capacity of LTO 3.
