Verbatim BD-R 50GB- White Inkjet Hub Printable, Spindle of 25 Blu-ray discs from Verbatim are the next generation in HD recording and large capacity disc storage!
Utilizing a blue-violet laser to read and write data allows more data to be stored on one disc — up to 5 times the amount stored on a DVD! This dual layer BD-R disc can hold up to 4 hours of HDTV. The shorter wavelengths of the blue laser technology makes it possible to record more data on the same size disc.
Verbatim has manufactured these Blu-ray BD-R discs with a special white inkjet printable coating that allows the disc to be printed on using an inkjet printer. The special surface traps the ink from the printer to yield exceptional color reproduction of high-resolution photos, graphics and other images that will stand out. The surface allows excellent ink absorption due to the Ink Absorption Layer, or IAL. This takes the ink and traps it, protecting both the printed image and the data on the BD-R disc. Verbatim discs also feature their own super hard coat that protects against everyday wear and tear.
